     Speaking Practice
               Let’s speak up.
                1)  This  task requires  a group  of  four  to  five
                    persons.
                2)  Read the text “The Four Dragons” again to
                    prepare a simple role-play.
                3)  Each person in the group is cast to be one
                    character in the story.
                    Person A as the Long Dragon
                    Person B as the Yellow Dragon
                    Person C as the Black Dragon
                    Person D as the Pearl Dragon
                    Person E as the Jade emperor and the narrator
                4)  Discuss  the  dialogue  while  paying  attention  to  the  expressions  when
                    performing “The Four Dragons”.
               For individual practice, you may retell the story in its order in front of anyone you
               know e.g. parents, siblings, friends.

                                                  STORY CHAINS
                1.  This task requires a group of four to five people.
                2.  Choose one topic to write a short story as provided below.
                3.  Discuss the plot of the story with your group. Pay attention to the structure of
                    the text (orientation, complication, resolution)
                4.  Each student spends 5 minutes to write their parts in the box below.
                5.  When one person has completed his/her part of the task, pass the paper to the
                    next person. Continue the story from where the previous person left off for a
                    given number of words, paragraphs, or length of time.
