Welcome Speech from Dean of

Agriculture Faculty, Universitas
Syiah Kuala

Assalamulaiakum WW. Good morning, Ladies and
Gentlemen!

First and foremost, by the Grace of God, we have been offered the opportunity
together here this morning to give thanks to the almighty God for his
abundant mercies and grace. On behalf of The Faculty of Agriculture, it gives
me a great pleasure to extend to you all a very warm welcome in the 2
nd
International Conference on Agriculture and Bioindustry (ICAGRI-2020) held
by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Syiah Kuala.
On behalf of the Faculty of Agriculture, I would like to take this opportunity
to express my sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng as the
Rector of Universitas Syiah Kuala to facilitate for this international
conference. I honorably welcome to our keynote speakers:

- Prof. George Papadakis from Natural Resources & Agricultural
Engineering, Agricultural University of Athens, Greece
- Prof. Michael Goodin from Plant Pathology, University of Kentucky,

Last year the Faculty of Agriculture has successfully conducted the 1 st
International Conference on Agriculture and Bioindustry. However, this year
was different from last year conference in which due to the pandemic Covid-
19, the 2 ICAGRI organizing committee is committed to taking into account

the current development of the spread of the virus as your safety is our top
priority. Therefore, we conduct a virtual or online conference and presentation
for this year.
