Network Assessment Analysis Checklist
Identify Scope of Service
This document is a checklist designed to assist the New Customer and Duo Business Services
with the Network Assessment. This checklist is also coordinated with the questions previously
discussed with Mr. John Fairall and Mike Milky. Our network assessment is divided into 3 parts.
I. First site visit and basic technology assessment. (Free service)
• Identify Devices: Hubs, Routers Gateways, Modems, T1, ISDN, Infolink etc.
• Define all hardware used in all stores and offices •
• Identify equipment, suppliers and contracts
• Number of computers, laptops and printers
• Number of buildings
II. Network diagrams and technology mapping for all technology.
• Automatic Surveillance – reactive and pro-active monitoring
• Fault Diagnostics
• Configuration Management
• Performance Monitoring and Analysis
• Security Alerts, Reporting and Administration
III. Complete documentation of all technology and network health assessment
• Capacity Planning
• Analyze, Diagram and Cabling
• Define Onsite repair procedures
• Define procurement, installation, upgrade procedures and resources
• Maintenance scheduled and procedures
• Fix/Replace procedures
• Spares
• Define all third party agreements and service levels
• Hours of coverage
• Network “Uptime” requirements
• Internal and external SLAs
• How are issues resolved
• Does SLA provide for backup facilities or redundancy
