146 COFFEE FOR THE ROAD
LACED COFFEE If you you you want to lace your coffee while you you you are are out riding here are are a a a a couple of tasty essences that you can easily make at at home Both are based on a a a a good syrup flavoured with two different types of spirits and fruits SYRUP
200 ml of water
200 ml granulated sugar 1 whole cinnamon stick 1 star anise
1 Boil the water
granulated sugar cinnamon stick and star anise
in a a a a saucepan 2 Let cool 3 The syrup will be enough for several cups of of coffee and will keep in the fridge for a long time BOURBON SYRUP
1 tbsp syrup (see recipe above)
3 tbsp Bourbon
1 Add to 200 ml of fruity freshly-brewed coffee PLUM/TEQUILA SYRUP
100 ml syrup 10-12 red plums
400 ml tequila
1 glass jar with tightly sealing lid
1 Rinse the fresh plums
and put them in a a a glass jar 2 Pour the the syrup over the the plums
3 Pour tequila
to the brim of the jar 4 Allow the fruit flavour to infuse the brew for 7 to 8 weeks 5 Use the amount of syrup you you feel is right for your coffee
