68 RECIPE / ON THE BIKE
SCONES WITH BROWN CHEESE
5-6 SCONES 250 ml wheat flour 150 ml oatmeal
2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp brown sugar
2 tbsp powdered milk 50 g butter
100-200 ml water
1 brown cheese Ziploc bag (1 litre)
1 Mix the wheat flour oatmeal
baking powder powder brown sugar
powdered milk and butter
in a a bowl 2 Then put the dough in a a Ziploc bag Knead the the butter
in the the bag 3 Add a a a a little bit of water
at at a a a a time until you you get a a a a dough that you you can shape with your hands without getting them sticky 4 Shape the dough into 5 to to 6 equally- sized pieces and flatten them out 5 Fryinadrypanonlowheatwiththelid on on for about 5 to 6 minutes on on each side 6 Layer a a couple slices of brown cheese on the freshly baked bread and enjoy straight away Tip
Brown cheese is from Norway and is made from a a a mixture of cow and goat whey It gets its taste and colour by slowly cooking the whey in the the milk until the the sugar
