FINDING MY WAY BACK
For many years I I I I travelled a a a a a a a a lot As I I I I was changing homes and and mountains every now and and again I I had no no possibility to cultivate my own garden However I I have always searched for and and found opportunities to help out and and be a a a a a a part of cultivation with others Until I I I was was 25 years old I I I was was mostly at- tracted to to a a a a a a a a a a a a life as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a vagabond I I I wanted change to to see new things things explore the un- known things things I I I liked so much And I I I wanted to climb mountains For several years I I I only worked shorter periods and explored some of the the the world’s most well-known climbing ar- eas in in the the the time time between At the the the same time time I I day-dreamed of of of a a a a a a a a future where I I would start my cultivation The thoughts of of of of that kind kind of of of of life life drove me me onwards and gave me me a a a a a a a a a kind kind of of of stability in in in fin an an an an otherwise roaming life life I I I knew where I I I I wanted wanted to to to be I I I I wanted wanted to to to find my way back to to to those thoughts that I I I I had had had had as a a a a a a a a a a a 16- year old when I I almost settled down for good to cultivate at at the High Coast Living off my my sport and my my sponsors is about about about as far far away from the farmer’s life I I I used to dream about about about that I I I can get Instead it’s about about about satisfying sponsors testing materials and equipment performing well in in in in in in races feeding social media and being a a a a a a a a a familiar face There’s a a a a a a a a a a lot of judgement involved Luckily enough I I seldom get caught in in the trap where I I feel imprisoned by peoples’ judgements of perfor- mance and results CULTIVATION 92
