10.5ins tall. Glorious medium size stoneware barrel emblazoned with raised lots of decorations, predominantly deep Doulton blue, with bands/ areas
of green & brown. Large raised letters to front, above spigot, SHERRY, to rear A ARROLL & SONS LTD/ NEWCASTLE ON TYNE (originally a Scottish company which amalgamated with 2 Newcastle firms, J Meikle & William Turnbull, in 1895, and purchased Dover & Newsome Baxter in 1898 & Arthur Hills Brewery in 1910. Various impressed marks. Never seen another such. No damages. 9.5/10. NR. £600-800+
 19. ROSS & CAMERON DOULTON ARTWARE HIGHLAND WHISKY BARREL. 11.5ins tall. Another spectacular larger size stoneware barrel emblazoned with raised acorns & leaves, mostly deep Doulton blue, with bands/ areas of green
& brown, central large raised salt glaze plaque featuring heads of barley. Large raised white letters to front, above & below, TRADE MARKE below the barley sprig, spigot below. Several impressed base marks. Tiny top edge glaze flake, doesn’t really detract from the impressive nature of this piece. 9/10. NR. £600-800+
