179. BRISTOL BLACK GLASS EMBOSSED HAMILTON. 7.4ins long. Strong black glass, very dark olive green where glass is thinner. Two piece mould, small pontilled kick up, fabulous neck striations and crude, very characterful, applied lip, in manufacture body flaws. Virtually full glass sheen (minor wear), some ingrained dirt around letters and on body - clean or leave? Very heavily embossed all round IMPROVED/ BRISTOL/ SODA WATER/ PREPARED BY/ FRY GIBBS & FERRIS/ CHEMISTS/ UNION STREET/ BRISTOL. Never seen a place name twice of such
