152. HUDDERSFIELD SYKES MACVAY MINERAL WATER PATENT BOTTLE. 6.7ins tall (6oz capacity), aqua glass, metal insert to blob lip (some corrosion), six base dimples. Ornately embossed across front with BENJAMIN SHAW etc, large flower centre pict. t.m. Around lower edge PATENT 1877/ SYKES MACVAY & THE CODD BOTTLE COLD. Some body wear/ patches of dullness & internal residue. Quite a rare regional bottle.

155. A LANGFORD MINERAL WATER COMPANY CODD HAMILTON HYBRID BOTTLE. 9.7ins long, aqua glass, 10oz capacity. Well embossed lettering around a central diamond shape containing LIMITED in
the centre. An uncleaned example, full glass sheen. Minor wear, a scuff, slight flaw in bottom edge air bubble (not damage). Great looker. NR. £80-120+
  153. WINDERMERE BOTTLING STORES NARROW NECK CODD BOTTLE. 8.6ins tall, aqua glass, original rubber washer in neck. Front embossing features entwined initials t.m. within outer lettering.
156. GOFFE & SONS BIRMINGHAM BULB NECK CODD HAMILTON HYBRID BOTTLE. 7.2ins long, aqua glass. Heavily embossed across the front featuring large pict. t.m. of crossed mineral water bottles. To rear DAN RYLANDS/ 4/ SOLE MAKERS/BARNSLEY. Full glass sheen, not polished, as found. Rear crack to back of neck (between lip & horizontal retaining lug - stable, but displays really well. 7/10. 157. WOODCOCK & CO HASTINGS SELTZER BOTTLE. 5.4ins tall, chunky blob cork closure lip, yellow green glass. Pict. t.m. of Woodcock bird within a circle border. Tiny bottom edge flake below A in Hastings & minor rear marks. A rare bottle nonetheless. 8.8/10. NR. £40- 60+

 stoneware stopper wired on (chain corroded). Patented 1870, see BBR issue 173 regarding patent attribution. An ingenius idea which only seems to have been used in the Channel Isles?
