102. BELLARMINE JUG. 8.9ins tall. Classic bulbous form, rear applied handle, collared lip, kiln shelf residue to crude (slightly flared) foot. Wonderful highly varied tiger glaze salt glaze featuring various runs, couple of body flaws/ touch marks from firing/ minor nicks - see easylive extra images (click pics to enlarge). Very well modelled face & belly cartouches. Restoration to portion of neck but a really fabulous characterful looker - seems to be peering over his left shoulder? 8/10. NR. £220- 250+
103. BELLARMINE JUG. 8.9ins tall. Another typical bulbous Bellarmine form, rear applied handle, collared lip. Wonderful highly varied tiger glaze salt glaze - very light to mid brown. Distinctive neck tilt to the left, & both face & belly cartouches unusual. Various firing touches/ flaws, few minor nicks - see easylive extra images (click online to enlarge). Small portion of restoration to neck. 8/10. NR. £220-250+
