SEASON RECAP
This report provides a retrospective look at the 2025 golf season across
Canada. For consistency in reporting across all provinces, the “golf
season” is defined as rounds played between April 1 and October 31,
ensuring a standardized and comparable measure of activity nationwide.
Rounds played rose 7.9% over 2024, setting a new national record
and surpassing the previous high set in 2021. This is the fifth year over
year (YoY) increase in the past six years, with total play now up 36.4%
compared to 2019.

• PEI led provincial gains, up 15% YoY and 55%
compared to 2019. Alberta also posted strong results
up 13.8% YoY and 50.2% compared to 2019.
• Canada’s overall growth outpaced the United States,
where rounds played increased just 1.1% YoY.
• Notably, 2025 marks the 1st time since 2021 that all
10 provinces recorded YoY gains, underscoring the
continued strength and nationwide reach of golf
course participation in Canada.
