Revenues & Rounds Nationally Are Up!
By the end of August, rounds played nationally showed a slight increase of 2.3% over the same time period in 2018 (January to August). Quebec is enjoying a banner year with a YTD increase of close to 10% while all other regions remain only slightly ahead of last year due to the lingering effects of a slow spring and early summer.
When looking at provincial rounds played for August, Quebec and Ontario continued their strong gains with increases of 17% and 8% respectively over 2018. British Columbia, Alberta, and Atlantic Canada also enjoyed healthy increases for the month. Nationally, rounds were 6% better than last August and about 5% ahead of the 5-year average.
When looking at what matters most – the bottom line – it’s great to see that revenues nationally were up by 3.7% over last year. National Revenue was almost 7% higher than August 2018, while Rounds Played reported for the same period were up just under 5%. All regions show revenue growth over last August with Quebec and Atlantic Canada leading the way at 12% and 11% respectively. British Columbia also recorded a 10% increase for the month. Quebec and Atlantic Canada also lead the way in YTD Revenues with both showing revenues 9% better than 2018.
