Stronger Together:
The Value of Membership
When Kingsville Golf &
Country Club first joined the
NGCOA Canada more than 25 years
ago, we weren’t sure what to expect.
What caught our eye, though, was
their simple promise: “To serve the
long-term best interests of golf
course operators throughout Canada.”
It sounded like a lofty goal, but
from the start we discovered it
wasn’t just a slogan — it was real.
Over the years, NGCOA Canada
has been more than an association;
it’s been a partner that’s helped us
save money, make smarter
decisions, and feel connected to a
community of people who
understand what it’s like to run a
golf facility.
FINDING REAL VALUE IN
MEMBERSHIP
Like many operators, we were first
drawn to the bottom line. The
Golfmax Purchasing Program is
unmatched. With more than 100
golf-specific suppliers, the discounts
and rebates alone make membership
worthwhile. Last year, from just
three suppliers — Moneris,
Moosehead, and Lowe-Martin —
Kingsville realized over $11,700 in

savings. That’s money that goes
directly back into our business and
into improving the experience for our
golfers.
LEARNING AND GROWING
TOGETHER
Savings are important, but they’re
only part of the story. The educational
opportunities through NGCOA
Canada have had a lasting impact.
The Spring Warm-Up and the
Golf Business Canada Conference &
Tradeshow have become annual
traditions for our team to attend.
These events are more than
meetings—they are where we get re-
energized, gain insights, and have
meaningful conversations with other
operators who truly get what we go
through. We come back to our club
with new ideas, new solutions, and a
renewed sense of purpose. And
honestly, we’ve met some incredible
colleagues who have become
collaborators, mentors, and friends.
The Spring Warm-Up gathering in
early March in our chapter is a great
way to reconnect with fellow local
operators, hear from guest speakers,
and walk away with fresh ideas
before the season begins. But the real
highlight for us every year is the
Golf Business Canada Conference &
Trade Show. For three days each
November, operators from across
the country gather to share
knowledge and explore new ideas.
The speakers are consistently
excellent, the trade show showcases
the latest products and technologies,
and the networking opportunities
are endless. Many of our best
solutions have come from casual
conversations at these events – a
community value that can’t be
measured in dollars.
INSIGHTS THAT DRIVE BETTER

making decisions every day. Having
access to reliable research and
benchmarking is invaluable.
