assessment and payment processor

All these fees can add up
quickly and therefore having group
rates negotiated through Golfmax
with Moneris matter and provides
significant savings. In our last fiscal
year, we saved more than $12,500
with Moneris alone, savings that we
would not have realized without
the Golfmax program.
The Golfmax program provides
SVGC with cost savings across all
our business units. Operations
benefits the most (payment
processing and payroll services).
However, our F&B department also
sees strong returns via Coca-Cola,
Entegra, Canadian Linen and GFS
arrangements that the NGCOA
Canada has negotiated. In 2024, we
saved an additional $5,000.
Our Turf and Maintenance
department also captures additional
value with suppliers such as NAPA,
which accounts for another $2,300
in savings. In total, our facility
realized almost $20,000 in annual
savings last year through Golfmax!
When you compare that to $1100
annual membership dues, the math
speaks for itself.
However, the Golfmax
program also saves time. NGCOA
Canada has pre-vetted partners and
negotiated terms, reducing
procurement cycles and risk. As we
all know, running a golf club
consumes significant amounts of
time and, during the golf season, we
generally get very little opportunity
to do anything other than focus on
the day-to-day operation of our
business. Finding the time to
procure suppliers, meet with them,
compare services, product offerings,
costs and the like is next to
impossible, but with Golfmax,
much of that hard work has already
been done for us. We are able to use
our time more efficiently and
effectively because of the Golfmax
tool that is available to us.
Being a member of the NGCOA
Canada has many benefits, but even
if Golfmax were the only one, it
would still justify the dues. The
program also fosters relationships: it
is always a pleasure to connect with
Golfmax suppliers at the annual
conference and throughout the year
at NGCOA Canada events, and to
explore new partnership opportu-
nities as suppliers join the program.
