HURRICANE SURF
WETSUITS
More Environmentally Conscious
Applying skills we learned from building quality alpine insulation, we’ve
developed a warmer wetsuit. We design them to keep you more comfortable
in the water, and build them with several materials that are more
environmentally conscious.
More Warmth, Quality and Durability
We make our wetsuits with the highest quality Japanese neoprene. It has a
98% closed-cell structure, which adds dead air space and with it, more
warmth. Our wetsuits are handmade using an extremely high-quality
neoprene to increase durability. The wetsuit’s smooth-skin rubber torso
sheds water, instead of soaking it up like typical jersey, so there’s no
evaporative cooling.
Lined with Chlorine-Free Merino Wool
Our R4®, R3® and R2® wetsuits use our patented Regulator® wool
technology, a merino wool lining that helps retain body heat. We lay it out in
a grid pattern and bond it to recycled polyester to better insulate, wick
moisture away from your skin and dry quickly. Wool is naturally warm even
when wet and naturally odor-resistant. Using a merino wool liner in our
wetsuit construction allows us to use less material and create superior
warmth. The polyester it’s bonded to is recycled and the wool is chlorine
free. (U.S. Patent No. 7395553)
PVC-Free Kneepads
We make the kneepads without polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a
carcinogenic plastic found everywhere, including in many wetsuits.
Along with being better for the environment, our kneepads are
more durable, and offer great flexibility.
Done with love and passion.
