Jason Straka has been instrumental in molding the direction of my career.
I luckily first met Jason while I was still in high school while visiting Cornell
University as Jason was serving as an Ambassador for the admissions de-
partment. Since that day, Jason has acted as my Fraternity Brother, my
Professor, my Advisor (as he introduced me to the McDonald Family), and
always as a good friend.
I owe Jason a great deal.

Drew Rogers served as the Lead Designer for Arthur Hills at Lowe’s Island
Club in Sterling, Virginia during the summer of 1997, which was also the
project that introduced my to “the real world” following graduation as I
was the Assistant Project Manager for Wadsworth during this build.
During our time together at Lowe’s, my brief time at Arthur Hills & Associ-
ates, and over the past 24 years since, Drew has been my model as to
how a Designer should interact with the Owner, Superintendent, Builder,
and Club Member. I have attempted to achieve similar relationships cre-
ating constructive team efforts while guiding my own work.

I am fortunate to have been recently paired with Tim Liddy as we are de-
veloping a Master Improvement Program together for Mount Vernon
Country Club in Alexandria, Virginia.
I am thoroughly enjoying our design collaboration and I am grateful to be
able to grow while learning from Tim’s past experiences and expertise.
This partnership has stressed to me the fact that we should never stop
learning and evolving as designers—and this reminder was my impetus to
apply for ASGCA membership.
