Recycled PET (rPET)
Turning bottles into bags through closed loop production,
our rPET range is bursting with eco credentials.
PET is one of the most important materials in the world and is
most notably used to make plastic water bottles. When these
items are recycled, instead of ending up in landfills or the
ocean, they are taken to a recycling facility and converted
into a strong, lightweight polyester yarn which is woven into
recycled PET and used to make our rPET bags.
As a recycled material, it requires 1/10th of the water and 70%
less energy in its production when compared to virgin polyester
which makes it a far more eco-friendly option for making
reusable bags.
We also add a woven outer label to highlight that these bags
have been made from recycled plastic bottles and give it a
slightly more premium finish.
