  T esters are back...
Testers made their way back at the start of Q4 to help service the customer with a no touch approach. Thank you for taking the time to sanitize and prepare testers to get them back on the sales floor. There has always been a lot of negativity around testers regarding how clean and safe they are and COVID has pushed us into a new way to test and experience products in a safer manner. QR codes are being introduced by vendors so customers can use their cellphones to virtual try on new lipsticks or foundations. Vendors are also creating color charts to help customers see makeup in a new light. They are also piloting virtual “try me mirrors” at 2 locations in the GTA to help elevate the customers shopping experience!
As consumers begin to trust technology to choose the right product for them, the desire to try new products through the form of sampling is very desirable. More than ever, it is important how we utilize our samples when interacting with customers. It is extremely important to take the time to listen to the customer’s skincare concerns to be able to recommend a product that fits into their daily routine. “Smart Sampling” is the way of the future to help drive customers back into your store.
