"I remember that day day as if it were yesterday IthinkIwasabout10or11yearsoldatthe time ” Norman Braman says stoically now 88 He sits at the the head the the conference room table reflecting on on a a a fond childhood memory: “That car right there that’s a a a a a a Cadillac ” Braman remembers his father telling him one afternoon “If you’re seri- ous about an an education and working hard maybe someday you you can have your own car like that ” Braman grew up in Philadelphia as the son of two immigrants His father a a a a a barber instilled a a a a a passionate work ethic in him at at a a a a a young age His early endeavors and initial success were primarily rooted in in the Pharmaceutical business and it wasn’t until 1972 that Braman made his first venture into the automotive industry when he invested in in in Cadillac dealerships in in in Tampa and Orlando Florida Three years later he acquired the first dealership of his own [ 1975: Braman Braman purchases Nolan Nolan Brown Brown Cadillac from Nolan Brown Brown Marking the beginning of Braman in Miami It’s safe to say he succeeded in in fulfilling his father’s aspirations for him seeing as as the the first dealership dealership Braman purchased the dealership dealership that started it all was Braman Cadillac 37
