The Brady Campaign
The Public Policy Conference agenda will also include the
Brady Campaign. Brady: United Against Gun Violence, The
Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and the Brady
Center to Prevent Gun Violence is a nonprofit organization
that advocates for gun control and against gun violence. It
is named after former White House Press Secretary James
“Jim” Brady, who was permanently disabled and later died
as a result of the Ronald Reagan assassination attempt of
1982.
The organization works to legislate, litigate and educate.
They seek to enact and enforce common sense gun laws.
Representing victims and survivors, they use litigation to
change laws nationally, and state by state. Armed with facts
and solutions, Brady provides education so that all Ameri-
cans can live free from fear of gun violence.
