Since the blending of Bay Capital and Northern Districts we are working to blend
the former districts and have new beginnings.

Our focus is to restart the District and get the mechanics going. It will require
the efforts of all the members to accomplish this.
We are off to a great start with the three clubs actively recruiting new members,
presenting interesting programs and becoming more active in their communities.

Berkeley has several members who are Young Professionals and hope they will
become the leaders for BPW.

Chico BPW’s membership has increased and is getting a huge boost by having
Past State President, Connie Stahl spearheading the clubs’ programs.

Downtown Sacramento is celebrating its 105 Anniversary this year. They
have twinned with a BPW club in St. Andrew Jamaica.

At our last Conference our speaker was Dr. Flo Cofer, who spoke to her reasons
for entering the Sacramento Mayoral race. She also discussed her perspective as a
public health professional on homelessness in Sacramento and possible solutions by
using community collaboration to address this and other city issues.

Public Policy Chair, Elaine Sierra presented the Public Policy Statement for re-
view as well as the current Focus Issues.

Rosemary Enzer, CFBPW Public Policy Chair, served as our State Representative.

Our Annual Conference will be held in Sacramento on April 20, 2024. This is in-
tended to be an in-person conference so members can meet one another face to face.
