                                              Edition 116– October 2023

                  Dear Members,

Thank you to those of you who sent in comments and feedback on the 2024 mem-
bership fees. The FEC considered these and, in conjunction with the Wednesday webinar,
have decided they should return to the pre-Covid level of payment. In the few years that
have passed since we first learned of this virus, we have embraced Zoom, and now offer
more regular meetings to all members around the UK. In person meetings have also been
scheduled, which of course will always be advertised in our monthly Newsletter.

The Conference 2024 Task Force is continuing to work well, and, now that we know
that we will be meeting together in Bristol, plans are gaining pace. As last year we will be
offering a “Pay per view” option via a hybrid platform, but as we all know this is a great op-
portunity to network and to be able to discuss things throughout the weekend. Why not ask
a friend to join you in Bristol at Conference 2024?

As you will see further in the Newsletter, I attended the first in person meeting of
          WAC-UNA ( https://una.org.uk/branch/una-womens-advisory-council ) since Covid. Thank
you to those BPW UK members who travelled to London, with Busola Dakolo coming the
furthest on the day. Busola has been nominated for a Forty under 40 award, recognising
young entrepreneurs (https://fortyunder40.co.uk) and we wish her the very best of luck
for her future, as she has just graduated from Loughborough University with a Master’s
Degree in International Business. It has been a very busy year for this wonderful young
          woman.
