UNESCO calls for proposals
on generative AI, Art and Education
for Digital Learning Week 2023.
UNESCO invites providers of generative AI (GenAI) systems or applications, studios or
individual innovative users of GenAI tools to submit proposals that feature how generative
AI is transforming creativity in art, and the implications of GenAI for Art Education.
These will be featured in the 2023 edition of Digital Learning Week [2]
(Paris, 4-7 September 2023) under the banner of
“Steering Technology for Education”.
If your proposal is selected, you will have the opportunity to present your AI art systems
and applications to a global audience including senior representatives from governments,
leading international organizations, NGOs, private companies, as well as educators and
practitioners.
By featuring how AI is applied in various creative AI domains, especially in the creation of
music, drawing and artistic animation or videos, the event aspires to trigger debates on how
creative AI can be meaningfully and ethically leveraged to inspire the teaching and learning
of art.
Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and submissions will be accepted until 20 July
2023 (midnight, Paris time).
Selected proposals will be notified by the end of July 2023.
