After the presentation and throughout the rest of my time in Bristol, I had many very pleas-
ant conversations where either we were all reminiscing about the time in their childhood, that they
visited and stayed in Malta and are looking forward to visiting once again, or with members who
will be first time comers to the Island.
A memorable experience all around.
The weekend of the 24 th of March 2024 BPW Europe organized the European Presidents’
Meeting and the EISBL Meeting in Rome, Italy. For the weekend of events hosted by BPW Italy, a
number of ancillary events were organized where they brought together not only the European
Presidents, but more importantly delegates from a myriad of countries, from around Italy and oth-

er European Countries, while the BPW Young organized their 11 Young Symposium.
During this important European Presidents’ Meeting the election of the new BPW Executive Council
was held and the new team announced under the leadership of its Chair Anu Viks. BPW (Valletta)
Malta was represented by 10 delegates for this trip.

We were all very excited to not only create as much visibility for the 18 European Regional Con-

ference and 12 BPW Europe Young Symposium, being held here in Malta, but also to give a taste
of the conference and hospitality of the Maltese People. We prepared a presentation for the dele-
gates present. We used this opportunity to not only highlight the main attractions in Malta but to
make two important announcements: The Theme for the conference:

Once again, we were inundated with questions seeking information; we spoke and explained the
weather in May in Malta. While the outside temperature should reach 24 degrees, warm enough to
roam around the island wearing summer clothes, it will also be perfect weather for the beach.
Sunny skies (peppered with clouds here and there) and the sea temperature should reach around
19 degrees; cool enough to give some reprieve from the warm temperature as one explores Malta.
Again we spoke about all that Malta has to offer, we described the atmosphere that one can expect
at every turn while visiting Malta. The many options available to see Malta before, during and after
the conference. Through participating in Organized Tours, that we are already planning for every-
one to join, being that Malta is such a small country with easy and safe access all around, planning
of longer stays on the island, most are planning family vacations staying for the week prior and the
week after the conference. There is so much to see all concentrated on an archipelago of three
tiny islands in the middle of the Mediterranean. One thing is for sure, and that is the easy access to
Malta through direct flights from many countries and airport hubs around Europe in general. We
discussed potential lodging for their stay, places to go to eat, places to go to for fun after hours;
being on Island time and Vacation mode.
In the midst of all of this, we are also working on organizing a truly amazing conference and young
symposium. Organized in one of the most historically significant and grandest locations on the Is-
land to host a conference, with themes and topics to interest the delegates and empower them to
achieve success, full of international speakers as well as local ones who have achieved and contin-
ue to show achievement and leadership in their arena. We will have some surprises throughout
the 3 days of the conference! Most of which will thrill each and every one of us as we all become
empowered to Break Barriers! Drive our Own Success!

BPW European Conference 2025 - BPW Malta
