Joshua Catapano
Barrow Neurological Institute
Middle Meningeal Artery Embolization Associat-
ed with Reduction in Chronic Subdural Hemato-
ma Volume and Midline Shift in the Acute Post-
Joshua Catapano was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He com-
pleted his undergraduate training and earned his medical degree at the
University of Nevada, Reno, where he was a member of the Nevada Wolf
Pack football team. During residency, Joshua has published over 140 peer
reviewed articles and is currently studying secondary injury markers in an-
eurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage in human cerebrospinal fluid. Joshua
has completed an 18-month enfolded endovascular fellowship and plans
on completing an additional post-graduate 12-month endovascular fellow-
ship in 2023-24 at the Barrow Neurological Institute. His future goals in-
clude a busy clinical practice in an academic institution, mentorship of med-
ical students/residents/fellows, and progression in the treatment and man-
agement of cerebrovascular disease through innovation and research.
Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and four children: Ha-
ven, AJ, Aaron, and Anthony.
