AAUW CFBPW
AAUW is a local, state and national organization that has
been advocating for women and girls through education, ad-
vocacy and research since 1881, beginning with its research
in 1913 on Pay Equity in the Federal Workforce and continu-
ing through its recent report Broken Ladders: Barriers to
Women’s Representation in Nonprofit Leadership. We are
one of the largest providers of scholarships for women's edu-
cation, having dispensed over $70 million for graduate stud-
ies and fellowships. Though we are a non-partisan organiza-
tion, we are not values neutral. AAUW's Public Policy pri-
orities align closely with those of the CFBPW, including
Economic Equity, Increasing Women in Leadership Positions,
Choice and Equality in Women's Healthcare, Freedom from
Sexual Harassment and the United National Convention on
the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women
(CEDAW). ■
