ABOUT
The Leek, a publication related by both genius and genus to The Onion, is the world’s most highly underrated source of Breaking News — news about the increasingly visible cracks in our democracy perpetrated by the currant Occupant of the White House.
Inspired by the dubious election of Donald J. Trump and the psychedelic behavior and mind-numbing events that have followed (see Puerto Rico, Helsinki, Singapore and the West Wing of the White House), publication of The Leek now serves the needs of a readership of more than 32 friends and family of its founder, Sandra Nelson, a baby boomer who has nothing better to do.
In addition to maintaining a towering standard of brazenness to which almost all of the female retirees who read it aspire, The Leek is a reminder that women of a certain age and far left political bent ain’t dead yet. In fact, they are largely responsible for the recent election of women of a certain much younger age, and equally far left political bent, to Congress in 2018.
From this indefatigable demographic of readers does the publication’s motto derive: THE BATTLE-AXE FOR BATTLE-AXES!
