Extensions &
        Missed Deadlines

        Extension Requests:
If you need additional time to complete a project, make sure to request an extension well
ahead of the due date. Promptly requesting an extension respects the project’s timeline
and maintains the integrity of the course schedule. It must be noted, that this is at the
descretion of staff based on your personal engagment and need.

        Missed Deadlines:
Not meeting a deadline without informing the staff beforehand will result in your grade
being capped at 40% for that assignment. It is crucial to submit any late work within one
week of the original deadline; failure to submit by this extended deadline will lead to a
        grade of NP (Not Presented).

        Communication is Key:
If you foresee challenges in meeting a deadline, it’s essential to communicate with a
faculty member as soon as possible and in a professional manner. This proactive approach
enables us to support you appropriately and helps ensure that you can manage your
        projects effectively.

        Advice for Navigating Deadlines:
Remember, design is an iterative process, and learning to manage your time and
commitments is part of that journey. View these academic challenges as opportunities to
iterate not just your projects, but also your approach to work.

Stay curious about how you can improve both your design skills and your project
management techniques. Staying engaged with your instructors and peers, and seeking
feedback early and often, will empower you to navigate the complexities of design projects
        more effectively.

Embrace these learning moments, and let them guide you towards becoming a thoughtful
        and resilient designer.
