Introduction

As my final project of Year 3 we were tasked with creating a product
from a selection of “Design Series” with a strong look into the forms

& story that the product will be deriaved from.

I chose to engage with the “Ubiquitous Clinic” series. This project will
show the iteration from group work research, problem area

identification, hypothesis creation, persona and story telling

scenarios right through to the concept development and brand
identity with fellow class mates.

The BEC Hub, my final design concept, was developed to raise more
awareness to the increasing number of fatalities that occur due to

cardio vascular diseases and diabetes. It is aimed for the mid 20

demographic as a “well-being device” that combines all the necessary
equipment to advise potentially dangerous readings or data collected

and analysised by the BEC app.

Influence also stemmed from the current pandemic. The inclusion of
O2 monitor and thermometers and the connectivity of the hub to be

used via telehealth appointments with GPs and Physicians.
