British Designer & founder of Heatherwick’s Studio.
Known as a highly skilled architect, designer and maker.
Cambridge Audio
British sound system manufacturer of high end audio
equipment.
Objective
Design a high-end personal sound system in the style of
the chosen manufacturer and icon. The sound system
should communicate the style and ethos of the chosen
icons through form generation, material selection,
textures and finishes.
Also consider the corporate identity, existing in-house
technologies and manufacturing capabilities.
The sound system set should include a headset and
portable speaker adopted by the design icon and chosen
manufacture
Final Deliverables
• Design Decision Record Booklet (DDR)
• Suite of SolidWorks files (3D assemblies and parts for
•- all elements of the system)
• GA drawing of headset
• Two interconnecting headset parts fully dimensioned CAMBRIDGE
•-with all orthographic views, sections and detail views
•-required for tooling/production. AUDIO GREAT BRITISH
• Design Specifications sheet
