1600 mm Research findings
300 mm The humidity in Ireland is between 70% and
90% annually. This damp air and rain will
get into the hay bale and create mould.

Rotting can take as little as two days where
the farmers would then have to throw it out
before the animals can have enough time
Medium Density Polyethylene to finish it.

Commercial viability
Ring feeders are used in almost every farm in
Ireland. The problem with them is that they are
open at the top which allows the rain to rot it
causing massive money loss over time.
The average bale costs around €40 with
about €20 of this going to waste and
farmers want to save money on their feed.
It reduces waste and contamination for
the livestock. It is very easily stackable
and easy to clean.
