Manufacturing Process
Universal Design
The Panels on the sides of the machine are formed by
pressing the sheets of zinc coated steel into moulds
where then take shape. Zinc coated steel is used on the
outer shell of the machine as the zinc provides protec-
tion of the steel against corrosion
The Drum is made of stainless steel, the stainless
steel sheet is shaped by rolling it, it is then clamped
into place as the machine welds the sheet together to
create the barrel shape.
The Basket of the machine will be manufactured by
injection moulding. Polypropylene will be used as it has
good chemical resistance and heat resistance. It also
works great in wet environments as it does not take in
water as much as other polymers do.
