Parts of a tap Common sink taps receive water from two pipes in the bottom of
the body. One pipe contains hot water, while the other one contains
cold water. Both pipes are connected to the cartridge, where they get
mixed. The proportion of hot and cold water mixed can be controlled
by rotating the lever connected from the top. Then, the mixed water
goes through the spout and the nozzle.
