WHO WE ARE
The Sigma Mu Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was chartered on February 29, 2020 in Accra, Ghana. The brothers of SMS were joined by a vast amount of family, friends, D9 supporters and local dignitaries to commemorate this historic event. Dozens of Brothers made the trip from around the world to join us. The SMS brothers have been collaborating for several years leading up to that moment – and now the real hard work is underway.
Consistent with the mission and vision of our founders, SMS will continue work on a number of programs throughout Ghana, though Accra will be the hub for activities throughout the country, West Africa, and the continent.
