I struggled for a lifetime with a lack of self-worth. I was never good enough. Never smart enough, never cool enough, never pretty enough, never tall enough, never slim enough, never successful enough. These were the stories I told myself. These were the beliefs I had about myself.
Over time, these self-limiting beliefs layered on top of one another until I almost suffocated with the weight. Beliefs that
I had accumulated year after year – because I kept finding evidence to support them. It was everywhere I looked. The magazines I read about successful women, the models, the female CEOs and Business owners, the ads on TV, the jobs I never got, and Social Media reinforced these beliefs in spades!
I did not measure up! I could not be like them! I was not enough.
Then a few years ago, I found a Champion! Someone who actually saw me. She got to know me, what my interests were, my desires, my dreams, what energized me, who I was and where I came from. She saw me in a different way than my friends and family were able to see me.
She believed in me, she had a confidence, a trust in me that no
one outside of my family had expressed before and she helped me to believe in who I could be. She supported me, she gave me tools and ideas to move myself forward. Because she was unencumbered by “my” limiting beliefs, she was able to see a vision for me that I was unable to see for myself.
She dusted me off and helped me to truly shine!
Having someone like this in my corner changed my life. I could look in the mirror and see that I was all I needed to be and more. I was enough!!
Once I saw the immense benefit from having a Champion and the impact someone like this can have on one’s life I was hooked. I wanted to help others achieve what I never thought possible.
And when the time was right, I jumped, and I am now able to do this for a living. And I love it.
I have had the opportunity to see women transform from having a lack of self-confidence and limiting belief in themselves and their ideas, to being confident, self-assured, successful women.
