ostar Interiors celebrates 45 years in business this year! An accomplishment I am very proud of. I have always been passionate about design and creating amazing spaces for clients. Throughout my time as an entrepreneur I have helped many clients create the
home they love. There is something so satisfying about watching someone walk
into their new space and see their elated reaction to the changes. It can be
something small like a newly recovered chair or new blinds or a bigger change like a kitchen renovation; the reaction is always the same – they seem to light up from the inside. I think in general we sometimes underestimate the importance of our environment and how it impacts us.
While doing anything for 45 years can seem daunting, I find I still have
that same passion for design I had all those years ago – and what ultimately drove me to start my own business and continue to grow it over the years.
It is that passion which still gets me up in the morning so I can continue
with the work that I love. Oprah had it right when she said “Passion is
energy.” This is true for me and my passion for giving clients a home they love has helped guide me in my business all these years and how I found the energy to respond and adapt to client and market needs.
I started out my business mainly in design and décor. I soon realized there was a need and an opportunity to help clients with the construction part of their project as well. Over time the
business has evolved into a design and renovation firm
delivering professional design services, renovation and construction, and décor and furnishings. By addressing all areas of a design project, we can provide a seamless end
to end experience. To respond to the growing renovation part of my business, I expanded our physical showroom into a go-to design center to meet all our client needs. This allows clients to shop for their design or renovation project from one location with the help of a professional team coordinating the right choices.

As a business owner I have seen my share of ups
and downs in the market, and this year will be like
no other. But I find staying true to my passion and
finding ways to pivot my business into new areas has helped me to continue and grow for so many years. The opportunities are out there; you just need to find them. We will stay on track to continue transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary spaces!
