Tennessee Valley residents
gathered at the Huntsville Von
Braun Center to honor the
legacy and memory of Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. at the
annual MLK Breakfast. The
breakfast is a signature event
sponsored by Huntsville’s
Delta Lambda Chapter of

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity,
Inc. Members of the Epsilon
Gamma Omega Chapter of
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Inc. including Basileus Dr.
Cheryl R. Davis, several
chapter officers, and members
attended the 25th annual

breakfast. Two of Epsilon
Gamma Omega Chapter,
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated members'
children exemplified
excellence through their
service. Miss Hannah Stanley,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Thornton Stanley, Jr., was the
MLK Essay Winner and Mr.
Eugene Thurman, Jr., son of
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene

Thurman, gave the youth
challenge.
