Protocol Moment
ATTIRE FOR ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA EVENTS
• The selection of attire should represent a positive image of
the Sorority.
Paraphernalia
• Paraphernalia is appropriate informal attire and indicates
membership in the organization. Should not be worn or
displayed by non-members.
• Whenever a member wears or displays paraphernalia, she
represents Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The
current Protocol Guidance does not address how much
paraphernalia a Soror should wear as she represents the
sisterhood, but local custom and traditions dictates what is
considered “too much of a good thing”. If a Soror asks, “Is this
too much?”, then she probably already knows that she does
not need to wear all her paraphernalia at ONE time.
Technology Tip
REOPEN A CLOSED BROWSER TAB
It happens all the time. You have a dozen
tabs open in your browser and accidentally
close the wrong one. You could open your
browser’s history and reopen the tab from
there, or you can do it with a couple of
keystrokes. Hit Ctrl+Shift+T on your PC
or Command+Shift+T on your Mac to
automatically reopen the tab you just
closed.
