How do I register to vote?
You can fill out a paper registration, register online or request the paperwork sent to you. Please
note that your County Board of Registrars will mail you a voter identification card upon
determining that you are eligible to vote in your county. The voter identification card will provide
you the name and address of your voting place as well as a listing of the various districts in which
you live (state House of Representatives, state Senate, etc.). Please see

I’m registered to vote on campus. Where do I vote?
Students will vote at Elmore Gym. The polls are open from 7 am until 7 pm.
Can I vote at the Madison County courthouse on Election Day?
No, you must vote at your designated voting site. You can find this information by visiting the
Alabama Secretary of State’s website.
If I’m from another county, can I absentee vote at this county’s courthouse on
Election Day?
No, you must vote at your designated voting site in your county.
If I’m from another state and never changed my registration to this state, can I vote
here on Election Day?
No, you must vote at your designated voting site in the state where you are registered.
Can I change my voting precinct on Election Day?
No, you cannot change your voting location on Election Day. You must vote at your designated
voting site where you are registered to vote.
