Chapters planted trees and shrubs on the campus of Alabama A&M University
(AAMU) for Arbor Day Tree Planting 2023!
Our Sisters planted trees at AAMU's Legacy Lake and shrubs at Terry Hall. Terry Hall is named after an
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated® Founder and Epsilon Gamma Omega Charter Member, Harriet
J. Terry. The shrubs were planted around the recently dedicated commemorative bench honoring our 24th
South Eastern Regional Director and Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter Member, Adrienne P-K Washington.
This Arbor Day Tree Planting event was also a collaboration with Huntsville's Von Braun Lions Club.
