haven’t noticed, I love lace. It’s so versatile. I can be soft and feminine, or powerful
and sexy. Tonight, I’m going for the latter.
I’d flat ironed my hair and added a few waves with my wand. I’d given myself
a smoky eye and red lips. I’d even changed my polish to a glittery ruby red because
he likes it so much. To top off the ensemble, I’d added the perfume that he’d once
said drove him crazy.
I ring his doorbell, and slide my black clutch under my arm. I wait anxiously
for him to open the door.
“Hey, I’m…” His greeting dies on his lips. He takes in my sexy romper. The
sheer lace top with the red bra underneath. The lined shorts that stop an inch or so
below my ass are slightly loose and flirty.
“Damn…” is all he says as his eyes move to my stilettos then back up again.
“You were about to say something,” I prompt flirtatiously. This if fun. It’s like
dating, but you know you like the person already, and they will get lucky. And,

smells delicious. For most of our time together since the wedding he’s been clean

forward to seeing how it feels on my sensitive flesh.
The club is loud, but they’re already playing some of my songs. The lights are
low, and the appropriate amount of fog filters through the crowd.
It’s not as crowded as it will be in a few hours, and I’m grateful. My goal is to
seduce the hell out of Henri. I want us to complete the kind of night we had in
Florida. I want the dance floor foreplay.
Unfortunately, Teo is the first person I see. My vibe isn’t dead, but it’s on life
support. I’d hope he’d run off with Lizzie. I’m not unreasonable. I knew there was
a possibility he’d be at his cousin’s birthday party. I just hoped I would be able to
at least have a few drinks before I saw him. I’d even settle for him moving on from
his vendetta. But, if the look on his face is any indication, he is still team petty. I
