SPRING SUMME R FALLING | 57
“Sanya! We could go designer shopping in Paris.” She jumps up and starts
running her fingers in Henry’s light brown hair.
“Mom, what are you doing?” I am officially mortified. Henry winks at me. The
sick bastard is enjoying the attention.
“Looking for horns, dear. He must be a damn unicorn.” She sits down and
looks him in the eye. “Are you secretly crazy or a serial killer?” Henry laughs harder.
“Sanya asked me the same thing before she allowed me to move in. No, ma’am.
I’m sane.”
“That’s it.” My mom puts the plate in the sink and turns to us. “Get dressed.
Let’s go.”
“Go where?” we ask in unison.
My mother fixes us with a stern gaze. “To Vegas. I’m arranging your marriage.”
Henri
I love Sanya’s mother. Yes, she is pushy; however, her pushing is working in
my favor. She’s trying to put her daughter exactly where I want her. Mind you,
marriage hasn’t crossed my mind – not even for a nanosecond but I’d have to
consummate the marriage. My eyes caress Sanya’s breasts, I’d consummate the hell
out of her.
Sanya’s big chocolate orbs beg for assistance. They plead, “I told you! Help me
derail this crazy woman’s plan.” I decide to play the devil’s advocate. I shrug
leisurely.
“I don’t have any plans for today. I hear spring weddings are nice.” Gail cheers,
and Sanya sends me subliminal death threats. She is so sexy when she is mad. I dig
deeper. “We already live together; this is my permanent address; I love this house;
and Teo would pass out if you showed up to the wedding married.”
Sanya fumes, and Gail nods excitedly. “See! Best arranged marriage ever.”
I look up at Gail. “Only one problem…Sanya doesn’t want to get married.”
