My Hope for Pentecost
As the season of Lent moved to Easter, my spiritual journey was Psalm 34 has been a part of
fueled by the daily devotions from the book my daily musical playlist and
“Who Do You Say That I Am?” by Mark Nelson. One of the helps me stay grounded on
readings, Mark 9: 30 – 32, made a connection to me. This spoke my journey.
about the message of the cross and our personal acceptance. This
pandemic has revealed my ability to embrace change and to be
more versatile in daily life. It has led me to a new path; of which I
am very excited. The devotion ended with this prayer.
“Lord Jesus, help us to accept the cross in our lives for your sake”.
After Easter, I continued my devotions from a new source “Words
Of Comfort For Women”. Chapter 28 titled ‘Work in Progress’ was
a favourite of mine. I particularly enjoyed this devotion as it spoke
to a life of faith being called a journey because it is a learning
process; time for growth and time for regression. I pray that those
reading this book of journeys will not be discouraged. If you
think you will not get there, just remember, God is not done with
us yet.
