THE WORLD ORDER AFTER COVID-19 (AC)
In the year 2020, we entered a new world order. The “old world,” before COVID-19 (which we will call “BC”), had to change into a new state of thinking, act- ing, and living (to which we will refer as after COVID-19 or “AC”). The bridge that connects these two world eras had to be paved with love and compassion for each other— wherever we were—either at home or in the workplace.

Telecommunication and commuting via
the Internet enable us to practice social distancing to pre- vent the spread of the dangerous coronavirus. No longer can we be in the same room, enjoy the company of friends on a lunch break, or have a face-to-face discussion with our boss as we did in the “BC” era. Instead, we must keep a safe distance (preferably six feet or more) from one an- other for the sake of preserving the public welfare. Not only are we fighting a lethal virus; we are also learning new ways of behaving toward others— loved ones, friends, co-workers, and strangers alike. In our new world era, physical contact is a thing of the past. No longer can we exchange handshakes, hugs, and kisses because by doing so, we can endanger our circle of friends and loved ones. When we return home from work, we must remove our
