A quick, simple, and secure attachment to
pile, post, or stake.

For fast mooring of a craft to a pile, use the pile hitch. By
tying the knot mid-line, tension can be pulled in two di-
rections from the knot, making this great for putting up
a barrier rope between a series of uprights. It unties with Note: the knot can be pushed down the
extreme ease.
