Makayla Hughes was born and raised in
Milwaukee, WI. Her winning attitude
and consistent work ethic propelled
her to the top of her graduating class at
Divine Savior Holy Angels High School
(DSHA).
In September 2021, Makayla will be
attending the University of Wisconsin-
Madison, studying Chemistry, to begin
her journey to become a neurosurgeon.
Makayla excelled in high school
athletics as well as in the classroom.
She holds school records in track and field and is a three-time
state competitor.
Makayla’s singing career started over 7 years ago in grade
school. Her natural talent and determination granted her
admission to the premier choir at DSHA, the Angelaires, who
have performed for the Milwaukee Bucks.
