Over the years the vagrancies of the British climate have
proved challenging on occasions. Early mild weather
causing mildew and late frosts stealing the crop, but for the
two enthusiasts the bad years were more than made up
for by the good, with 2015 heralding the first production of
sparkling wine which was to bring The Little Oak Vineyard
many accolades and awards as the years rolled on.
The sizzling summer of 2016 brought an internationally
recognised Bronze Decanter Award. 2018 heralded the
vineyards best ever crop, an impressive 18 tonnes, creating
a magnificent 17,000 bottles of wine. Even in the vineyards
worse year, 2014, from the jaws of defeat Steve wrestled a
victory by creating the first bottling of Little Oak Brandy –
now an annual staple.

Steve and his Partner, Gemma have chosen to share their
adventure with other wine lovers by offering Vineyard
tasting sessions which, with the addition of some excellent
food, has become an exciting and well loved experience
for friends who have become customers and most notably
customers who have become friends.
