GOOD COMPANY, GOOD
WINE, GOOD WELCOME...
n the edge of the beautiful Cotswold town of Chipping
Campden secreted behind mature hedgerow,
lies a truly English Vineyard; the fulfilment of the
adventurous dreams of Steve Wilson and his partner..
O Following more than a decade of planting and
experimentation the committed adventurers mastered the
art of making excellent English wine and won awards for the
vineyards English Sparkling wine.
In 2006 following a test of five different varieties of vine,
Steve settled on the Siegerrebe variety and planted 300
Vines in a hectare of Cotswold limestone soil.
Patiently tending their plants for three long years Steve
and his partner were rewarded with just 14kilo’s of grapes
from which they created just six bottles of exceptional
wine. The Little Oak Vineyard was on its way! The following
year’s harvest of 400 kilos of grapes were duly pressed and
made into a respectable 370 bottles of wine. The wine was
crisp and fresh with a good nose, akin to a quality Pinot
Grigio but more perfumed and this first commercial sized
bottling received an excellent reception and sold out quickly.
Just four years later those same vines were producing a
thousand bottles of excellent English Wine.
