town dam has been empty
for months, almost a year,
because it is overgrown and
full of silt, reducing the
holding capacity of the dam
by at least 50% or more.
Another reason for the water
shortage is the fact that for
months the pipeline feeding
water from the town dam to
the Aucamp Dam had a
huge leak, but was not
repaired. Whether or not it
had been repaired since, is
still an unanswered question.
