Manager Clyde Mitchell, and District Manager Larry
Fincher participated in the Department of Community
Supervision Resource Fair that specifically targeted
people who need help accessing basic needs while
reintegrating into society, along with their families. After
a few months of preparation from each department, this
was the first event that was actually held. It was a great
opportunity for representatives from DDS to be able
take part in this wonderful event. Many inquiries about
testing, out-of-state transfers, and reinstatements were
addressed by us. We are eager to help with the upcoming
event. One of the event coordinators from the
Department of Community Supervision (Columbus Day
Reporting Center) stated, “It was the vision of the
Columbus Day Reporting Center to inform, educate and
provide a networking forum to assist returning citizens.
Today exceeded our expectations. It is so heartening
when we receive community support and resources. The
information and support make our jobs easier, more
fulfilling and provide services to the community.”
